A man who went into a casino in Minnesota on Friday has been arrested and will be charged with child endangerment likely to cause substantial harm, after he left his 4 year old son child in his car when temperatures were bellow zero, while he played Blackjack.
According to the police report a casino patron who was on his way to his car at 12:15 AM Thursday morning, found the 4 year old boy wandering around the parking lot crying, scared and freezing. The weather was 7 degrees bellow zero with a wind chill of minus 22 degrees.
The man immediately rushed the child to casino security. According to the police the child was suffering from mild hypothermia, and had the child not been found when he was the child would have surly died from the cold.
According to the casinos security surveillance tapes of the casinos parking lot the man arrived at 10:51 pm Wednesday night.
The boy was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Shakopee Minn to be checked by a Doctor, and was then released to the Hennepin County child protection services, which will locate and reunite the child with his mother.
The man was being held on $8,000 dollars bail, which he was unable to pay.
